Board of Directors

Ariel Cherbowsky Corkidi is the Founder and Board Chair of People’s Park Brochures. He has been creating environmental zines for a dozen years and is passionate about community archives and local environmental history, especially their power to influence, inspire, and give meaning to the work of community-based ecological restoration. Ariel works as the executive director of San Bruno Mountain Watch and is a graduate of UC Berkeley’s College of Natural Resources.

Madison Gordon is the Treasurer of People’s Park Brochures. She is a bookbinder living in Oakland, CA, currently working with the collections at the Walt Disney Family Museum, Key Printing & Binding, and Zukor Art Conservation. Madison is an instructor at the San Francisco Center for the Book, fascinated by paper and paper-making, and trained in letterpress printing. She also serves on the board of directors of The Samia A. Halaby Foundation and is a graduate of UC Berkeley.

Russ Aguilar is a board member of People’s Park Brochures. Russ is an environmental educator from Marin County, California. His career has taken him to work in 5 National Parks, 2 State Parks, 1 U.S. Fish & Wildlife Refuge, 2 public schools, and 1 Environmental Learning Center. A photographer for 20 years, he photographs small animals in their habitat, whether it be a natural or manmade space that creature has chosen to call home.

People’s Park Brochures is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation.
