Dear Makers of People’s Park Brochures
Help Grow the Collection
We welcome all people to become makers of park brochures
Submit your brochure and help grow the archives of People’s Park Brochures
What are considered “Brochures”? Read this. They can be zines, multi-fold brochures, maps, posters, leaflets, and more
The archive is organized simply as an alphabetical list of parks, grouped by the Counties in States. We’ll keep adding new Counties, States, and perhaps even Countries as submissions come in.
Each park in the archive has its own webpage showcasing a portfolio of brochures made by different people about that park, organized as a simple grid with a clickable title and cover image of the brochure. Clicking on a brochure will then (see below):
Each brochure has its own webpage on this website. On the webpage where it will be embedded as a digital flipbook and displayed publicly for free. We do this by converting your submitted file to a html flipbook using the FlowPaper platform
The Submission Process
Please fill out the submission form on this page. It has required and optional sections. The answers to the form will populate a spreadsheet that will be used as a public collection guide for the archive.
The form will ask for a variety of items that will help us properly organize your brochure and store important information about it, like the location, author(s), title, author, etc. We also welcome other interesting notes about your work process, additional links, and more
All items submitted to our archives are accessible for free in digital format
If you’d like to sell print editions or downloadable, digital files of your work:
We hope that our archives will helpful for makers seeking financial support from their audiences. You’ll have the option of including relevant information on the webpage (your personal contact information, Venmo/Paypal/CashApp, price, shipping info, link to artist website/online store, etc.)
All sales and transactions happen separate from People’s Park Brochures, directly between the creator and the buyer. We are not responsible for handling any portion of the purchasing, payment, or shipping process
Making a submission (or a donation—this has no influence) does not guarantee the inclusion of your brochure in the archive, but you can reasonably expect your brochure to be added within about a week of your submission date, after the content review process (see our Values)
We do not offer payment to publish your brochures. In the future, we hope to provide selected brochure makers with “mini-grants” to fund the printing and distribution of brochures.
Support the Archives
